Delete your Aligned Church account

Your Aligned Church login is the same account as Aligned Leader, so it's deleted from one place: Aligned Leader's Settings. Before anything happens, the screen names exactly what would go, and your Aligned Church plan is cancelled first so the card saved for it is never charged again.

Before you start: Deleting can't be undone. If you only want the charges to stop, cancel your plan instead (Aligned Church → Settings → Plan): cancelling deletes nothing.

Good to know

  • Want a copy of your people first? In Manage, the Reports page has Take your records with you downloads. There's nothing to export once the account is gone.
  • You're the owner, others are on your church, and the whole church should go? Deleting your account leaves the church standing, so message us from Help and a person does it for you.

If it’s not working

There's no Delete my account button, only Message support

Your church holds congregation or giving records, and the card names them. Those aren't deleted with one tap: press Message support and a person removes the church and your account for you. They usually reply within one business day. Ask for a copy of your records in the same message if you want one.

It says my Aligned Church plan is still active

That shows alongside Message support: nothing has been cancelled yet. To stop the charges while you wait, cancel it yourself in Aligned Church → Settings → Plan.

It says nothing was deleted

Billing couldn't be fully stopped, so nothing was deleted: an account is never deleted while its plan could still charge. Try again in a moment. If it says to contact support, message us from Help and a person sorts it out.

It says some of my account may already be gone

Deleting stopped partway through. Message us at aligned.church/help, or reply to any email from Aligned, and a person finishes it by hand.

It says what deleting would take has changed

Something changed while the box was open, like someone joining or leaving your church. Read the new warning and type your email again.
