Run giving reports and exports
A bookkeeper can't reconcile a screenshot. The Reports page runs the treasurer's reports on screen and downloads each one as a spreadsheet, and the Donations page exports every gift you've ever received.

Good to know
- Every report counts a gift on the day it settled, in UTC, and counts what the donor was charged: the gift plus any fee they chose to cover, minus refunds. That's the same math as year-end statements, so the two always agree.
- Reports read higher than the Overview's totals by exactly the Fee cover column, because the Overview leaves donor-covered fees out. Both numbers are right.
- A refund lowers the month the original gift settled in, not the month you issued it. That's why a month you'd closed can change.
- For a quick look without leaving the chat, ask the Giving chat “Give me a report on my giving”. You get the last twelve months of settled giving with a monthly trend.
If it’s not working
The report doesn't match the Overview
That's expected: reports include the fees donors chose to cover, and the Overview leaves them out. The difference is exactly the Fee cover column.
It says “Nothing settled in that range — try a wider one.”
Reports count settled gifts only; pending and failed gifts aren't included. Widen the dates and press Run report again.
It says “The start date is after the end date.”
The two dates are the wrong way round. Swap them and run it again.
My exported file looks short
CSV on the Donations page exports only the rows loaded on screen, so use Export all. Then check the last line: if it isn't “# end of export” with a row count, or it says EXPORT INCOMPLETE, the download was cut short. Download it again before you use the numbers.
New & lapsed donors shows no one as lapsed
Lapsed means someone gave in the year before your start date and nothing since, so it needs a start date. Set one and run it again.
