Print year-end giving statements for your donors
January brings the same question from every giver who files taxes, and the treasurer shouldn't have to build statements by hand. Aligned makes a print-ready statement for every donor with the IRS wording already on it. You print it, or save it as a PDF to mail or email yourself.

Good to know
- Each statement lists every gift that settled in the calendar year with its date, fund and amount, the year's total, your church's name and the IRS line “No goods or services were provided in exchange for these contributions.”
- Aligned doesn't email statements for you. Donors also have their own copy: the manage link on every receipt has a Giving statements section with the same years.
- A donor's mailing address prints when their donor record has one, or when they're linked to a person in People who has one. Anyone else prints without an address.
- Gifts are per donor. Aligned doesn't combine a couple's giving into one household statement; each donor gets their own.
If it’s not working
A donor says their statement is missing some gifts
Gifts given anonymously never appear on statements your church prints; the donor's own statement, from the manage link on their receipts, includes them. Cash and checks show up only when the batch entry was matched to that donor.
A gift from December 31 is on next year's statement
Statements count the day a gift settled, on the UTC clock, so a gift made late on the evening of December 31 can settle in the new year. The statement says so in its footnote. Nothing is wrong with the gift.
The statement says it's incomplete
A statement lists up to 2,000 gifts per donor per year, and says so loudly instead of printing a short total. Nothing is wrong with your data. Press Help at the bottom of the left rail and we'll get you a complete statement.
An error shows up instead of the statements
Close that tab and press Open statements for the year again. Nothing was sent or saved, so it's safe to run again.
