Move your giving from Tithe.ly, Pushpay or another platform
Switching giving platforms is mostly a worry about people — the family that has given every month for years shouldn't have to notice. Aligned gives you two ways to move, side by side, and your old platform keeps working the whole time.

Good to know
- Getting the file out of your old platform is the slow part of Full Carryover — it can take a few days to a few weeks, and Aligned runs that chase for you. Nobody can promise a fixed date for it.
- Old platform dragging its feet? Press Switch to Fresh Start instead — everything done so far counts, and you can switch back if the file ever arrives.
- Don't cancel your old platform early. On Fresh Start, cancel each donor there only after they've set their gift up on Aligned. On Full Carryover, cancel after your announcement and before the first charge on Aligned.

If it’s not working
Our giving application was declined
Underwriting's decision is final on that application, on either path, and it can't be appealed from inside Aligned. Message us from Help and a person will help with next steps.
The Tell your donors step is locked
It opens once giving is approved and at least one imported donor has an email address. Full Carryover also waits for the cards to land, so nobody is asked to sign in to nothing.
A donor signed in by phone and sees no giving history
Their gifts are filed under an email address. Ask them to sign in with the email they gave with — or, if their phone number came over in the import, signing in by phone finds them.
After Full Carryover, a donor was asked for their card's last four digits
That's expected. The first time a moved card is used, the donor confirms its last four digits once. It's a safety check, not re-entering the card.
