Tell donors about the move
Your donors will only move if someone tells them, and they'll trust it more coming from you. Aligned writes a branded email with your new giving link and each donor's own link to set their gift up. You see exactly who gets it before anything goes out, and nothing is ever sent unless you press send.

Good to know
- A second send goes to every donor with an email, including those who have already moved — the line inviting them to finish setting up their gift only appears for donors who still have one waiting.
- The same email can go out once a day at most, so donors get a breather between reminders.
- The chat can do this too: "send the invite to our donors" shows the preview and a confirm button that names the count. Nothing sends from the message alone.
- On Full Carryover the email says their saved card moved with them. Send it before the first charge here, and cancel the old platform after the announcement and before that first charge.
If it’s not working
Tell your donors is locked
It opens once giving is approved and at least one imported donor has an email address. On Full Carryover it also waits for the cards to land.
It says "A send like this went out within the last day"
The same email can only go once a day. Try again tomorrow.
It says "Nobody to email yet"
None of your donors has an email address yet. Import your donors with their emails, or add emails to their records in Manage → People.
Fewer donors will get it than we have
The preview says why before you send: donors without an email address, and donors who unsubscribed or whose email bounced before, are skipped. Two donor records that share one email get one email between them.
