Keep your gift going after your church switches

When your church moves its online giving to a new home, your recurring gift doesn't have to start from scratch. Your church brings it over, and it waits for you — nothing is charged until you finish. It takes about two minutes.

Before you start: The email your church sent about the move. It's usually titled “A new way to give at …” or “Giving at … has moved — you're already set up”.
  7. 7Make sure your old gift stopsYour gift on your church's old giving service keeps running until your church stops it. Once you've finished here, ask your church to stop the old one if you're not sure they have, so you don't give twice.

Good to know

  • Nothing is charged until you finish. The gift your church brought over waits for you, and your first gift goes out on the First gift date you choose.
  • Messages about the move come from your church, never out of the blue. If something looks off, check with your church before you act.

If it’s not working

I don't see a gift to finish

Your giving shows it under the email address your church has for you — the one its email was sent to. If the page says “We're still finishing a recurring gift your church brought over”, check back tomorrow, and let your church know if it's still there.

It says the giving page isn't accepting recurring gifts right now

Your church brought your gift over but has paused recurring giving on its page. Nothing has been charged. Contact your church to find out when to finish.

It says “Those digits don't match this card.”

Type the last 4 digits of the card you gave with before the move, then tap Confirm again.

I think I'm being charged twice

Your old giving service keeps charging until your church stops it there. Contact your church and ask them to stop the old gift.

It says “This gift is already set up. Refresh to see it.”

You've already finished it. Reload the page and it shows under Recurring gifts.
