Switch your giving to Aligned Giving to pay $0

If your church kept its own giving platform, you pay for each module. Once your giving runs through Aligned Giving, your plan drops to $0 — and your old platform keeps working while your donors move over.

Before you start: Aligned Giving is an application: registering takes about a minute, then your church's business and bank details, an agreement to sign, and underwriting — usually 24–48 hours after signing.

Good to know

  • Aligned Giving has no monthly fee. Each gift carries a processing fee: 2.9% + 30¢ for cards, and 1% + 30¢ for bank transfers, capped at $10.
  • Still on your free trial? Once your Aligned Giving application is approved, you move onto the longer window for setting up giving.
  • Rather be asked than fill in forms? Set up in chat on the Setup page asks a few questions, fills in the application and hands you the signing page.
  • Don't cancel your old platform early. Donors keep giving there until they've moved — the Switch & migrate page says when it's safe on your path.

If it’s not working

Giving is approved but the plan still shows a monthly price

The $0 plan follows giving being fully set up — approved, agreement signed and able to take gifts. Open Giving and look at Setup for what's left.

Our giving application was declined

Underwriting's decision on that application is final and can't be appealed from inside Aligned. Message us from Help and a person will help with next steps.

I don't see Start setup

Your application is already under way — the button reads Continue setup, or Giving opens straight on Setup. Pick up at the step that's highlighted.
