Does Aligned write my sermon for me?
Short answer: Aligned writes a first draft, and the sermon stays yours. You choose the text and where it's going; Aligned drafts from that passage, your church's tradition and whatever you've put in your Brain. Then you study, pray, cut and rewrite until it's the message you'll preach. Here's how that works in practice.

Good to know
- The more of your own work Aligned has, the more its drafts sound like you. Add your statement of faith, your website and your past sermons to your Brain — it learns your voice from what you've already preached.
- Tap Study Companion at the bottom-right of a sermon draft for context, cross-references and word studies on your passage. It gives you background and leaves the draft alone.
- Want an outline instead of a manuscript? Say so (“outline only this week”), or set the output format to Preaching outline in Brain → Sermon Format.
- When a draft misses, tap the thumbs-down beside How's this draft? and pick what was wrong — Not enough depth, Misaligned doctrine, Wrong tone. Those reasons change how Aligned writes for you from then on.
If it’s not working
The draft doesn't sound like me
Aligned learns your voice from sermons you've preached, so until some are in your Brain, drafts read more generically. Connect your YouTube channel or upload a few manuscripts in Brain, and star the ones that sound most like you.
It said something our church doesn't believe
Aligned writes from the tradition you chose and what's in your Brain. Add your statement of faith in Brain → Documents so it has your own words, and mark the draft Misaligned doctrine with the thumbs-down so later drafts hold closer to your tradition.
Is that story true?
Ask it: “Cite the source for that story.” Aligned will tell you plainly when it doesn't have one. Then ask it to reframe the story as “Imagine…”, or give it one from your own church — your own story always beats one Aligned writes.
