Get an answer that stopped or failed
You asked for something and got an apology, half an answer, or a spinner that won't quit. Most of the time the answer isn't lost, and getting it back doesn't cost you another request. Here's what each message means and the one thing to do about it.

Good to know
- A draft in the document panel that you stop is kept as a version labelled Stopped, so nothing that was written is thrown away.
- Walking away is fine. A long sermon or study keeps being written if you switch chats or close the tab, and the finished piece is there when you come back.
If it’s not working
It says the request was “flagged as sensitive”
That's an automatic filter at the AI provider, not an Aligned rule — pastoral topics like grief, abuse or addiction are welcome here. Rephrase it, or break it into smaller steps, and send again. It doesn't count as a request. If the same topic keeps getting refused, message us from Support.
It says “The connection went quiet before the draft arrived.”
It may well have finished anyway. Open Chat History above the message box (or Books, for a chapter) and look for it; if it isn't there, press Try again.
It says “Couldn't reach the server. Please try again.”
Your device lost its connection. Check your Wi-Fi or signal, then press Try again — Aligned checks first whether the answer was already saved, so you won't get it twice.
It says “This request can't be sent as-is. Start a new chat and try again.”
Something in that request can't be sent the way it is — a paste that's too long, for example. Press New chat and send it there, trimmed down or split into parts.
There's no Try again — just a notice about my limit
That isn't a failure: you've reached your plan's allowance, and the notice explains your options. Trying again wouldn't go through until it resets.
