Make graphics look like your church
Graphics that could belong to any church don't feel like yours. Set your colors and a look for each ministry once, point Aligned at your own photos, and every graphic starts from there — for everyone on your team.
- 1In Media → Media Generator, pick the ministry you're designing forMain, Youth, Kids or Social. Each tab remembers its own style, colors, graphic type and size, so switching tabs swaps the whole look at once.
- 2Pick a look under StyleThe first eight show here; the link under them opens the rest. Historical is the different one — it paints the Bible scene itself rather than a designed graphic.
- 3Set your Primary color and Accent colorClick a swatch and choose your church's shade. Graphics are steered toward these colors rather than filled with them exactly. Beside the ministry tabs you'll see Saving… and then Saved — there's no save button to press.
- 4Press Photos to add your church's own picturesYour library opens first. Press Upload or drag photos onto the panel — JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF. Name each file for what it shows, like baptism-sunday.jpg or youth-camp.jpg: the file name is what Aligned matches on.
- 5Open Connect a Drive to use your Google Drive or OneDrive foldersChoose Google Drive or OneDrive. The first time, Connect Google Drive (or Connect OneDrive) takes you to sign in and brings you back to your folders.
- 6Tick whole folders, then press Use selected foldersYou pick folders, not single photos. They appear under Photo folders in use, where the trash icon removes one.
- 7Leave Auto-match photo on, or press Choose a photoWhen you generate, Aligned looks for one of your photos whose file name matches what you asked for and builds the graphic around it, keeping your real people as they are. If nothing matches well, it uses no photo — on purpose. Choose a photo lets you pick one yourself.
Good to know
- These looks belong to your church, not to you alone: when a staff member changes the Youth colors, they change for everyone.
- Rename photos before you upload them. "IMG_4821.jpg" will never be matched; "easter-sunrise-service.jpg" will.
- The Photo note on a library photo helps elsewhere in Aligned, but the Media Generator only reads the file name.
- Big camera photos are fine — they're shrunk before they upload. Photos you upload never count against your free pictures.
If it’s not working
I uploaded photos but I don't see Auto-match photo
In the Media Generator the photo buttons appear once at least one Google Drive or OneDrive folder is connected (steps 5 and 6); until then the row shows Add church photo folders. After that, your uploaded library photos are matched too — they're offered first.
It ignored my photos
Almost always the file names didn't match the request. Matching reads the name only — rename photos to say what they show, or skip matching and use Choose a photo.
It says “Couldn't save — retry”
Your last change to the look didn't save. Tap it and it saves again.
It says “Could not read this drive.”
The Drive connection needs signing in again, or the drive didn't answer. Reconnect from the same Connect a Drive tab.
It says “No photo folders here.”
The folder you opened has no folders inside it. Go back up a level and tick that folder itself.
