Get walked through a task, step by step

Reading how to do something is one thing; doing it with someone pointing at the right button is another. ShowMe walks you through a real task — a sermon outline, a passage study, training Aligned on your church — inside the app itself, and moves on when you actually do each step.

Good to know

  • Two more ways in: Resources → ShowMe lists the same walkthroughs, and Support opens with a Show me how list. When our team answers a how-to question, the reply can carry a Show me button that starts the right walkthrough there and then.
  • Finished one and want it again? Open ShowMe on that screen and press Run it again.
  • On a phone the card sits along the bottom. The arrow at its top (Collapse guide) folds it into one line so you can see what you're doing — tap the line to open it again.
  • The guided steps of your first Sermon prep walkthrough don't count against your requests.

If it’s not working

There's no ShowMe button

Walkthroughs need an account, so ShowMe appears once you've signed in. On a phone it also steps out of the header on the Automations screen and while you're making posts or graphics in Media — go back to the chat to find it.

I picked Automations and nothing walked me through it

The Automations walkthrough is part of Pro. On the free plan, picking it opens Automations without the guide.

The guide disappeared halfway through

It steps aside while a window is open over the app — Settings, Connections, a study panel, the Pro window — and comes back when you close it. On a phone it also waits while Support or the menu is open.

I sent a message but the guide didn't move on

A step only moves on for the kind of message it asks for — a sermon request in Sermon prep, say. Anything else leaves it where it is. Try one of the examples on the card.
