See where an answer came from
Is this from our own statement of faith, or from somewhere general? Every answer that draws on your church's material says so at the top, and the full list is one tap away — worth a look before you preach it or send it.

1/5 · Ask something your church's material covers, and send it
Good to know
- 1 of 38 sermons doesn't mean the rest were ignored. For each message, Aligned picks the few passages that fit it best — more for a sermon or a study than for a quick question — so an answer drawing on one or two sermons is normal.
- A sermon badge with only one number, such as 38 sermons, is the size of your sermon library: none of your sermons was drawn on for that reply.
- On a sermon, study, devotional or book draft, an entry marked (public domain) is a classic work Aligned leaned on for structure and depth, because nothing of your own matched that request. Add material on that topic to your Church Brain and Aligned uses yours instead.
- Want the whole of a document used, not only the passages that match? Name it in your message: “Using my document called Riverbend Statement of Faith, …”.
If it’s not working
The church-doc or sermon badge is missing this time
Once in a while the search of your church's material doesn't answer in time, and that reply is written without it. Nothing is lost. Ask again and it normally comes back.
There's no Sources button under the reply
It only appears when the answer drew on your documents or Bible passages, or when the doctrine check left notes. A general answer has nothing to list.
It didn't use a document I know is in my Church Brain
Open Brain → Documents and check its row says Ready. One still Processing, or marked Failed, can't be used yet. If it's Ready, name the document in your message or ask a more specific question. If Aligned ever tells you a Ready document isn't there, let us know from Support.
The badge says Review
The doctrine check raised a concern with that answer. Press Sources and read Alignment notes, then change that part yourself or ask Aligned to rework it.
